Question regarding 'Monkey in a Movie'.
Hi there,
New member here.
This is probably directed at Jim, but happy for anyone to give input.
I bought the "Monkey in a Movie lesson" yesterday and have had a great time learning the tune.
I am after the detune and the behind the nut bend there are two diads that are the notes GC (on 6/5th strings) and then A D on the 5th/4th strings.
I am currently picking the G and pulling the C with my middle and then using my middle and ring for the AD diad.
Is this how Jim does it?
I seem to have it at tempo but just wondering if this is the most efficient way.
Any chance of a London show at any stage?
Many thanks,
Jim Richmond

The notes are correct...
To answer and to cut to the chase -
My hybrid picking approach is 99% the same. Single notes are played with the plastic pick (plectrum),and doublestops (two notes played simultaneously) are played with middle and ring.
Thanks for ordering the lesson, I hope you have fun learning it.
All the best -Jim
So the two diads are snapped very quickly with the middle and ring.
Hmmm... I tried it that way and found I was missing the second diad.
I'll work on it.
I'm really enjoying the lessons- currently working my way through 'Mrs and Mrs Mouse'.
A quick question about your tab method.
I've never come across this before, is this something you developed yourself or did I just not encounter it before?
Would you be interested in me posting it in traditional notation (ie dots)?
