Thanks everyone - guess it's time to dial back my excitement for now. It has crossed my mind to cancel the order, but I remain confident that this guitar will be better than any other tele I can get for around £1200 UK money (as an aside, no sane person will be buying a new Rickenbacker over here any time soon!). It's also reassuring to read that formerly frustrated people are now enjoying their guitars!
