At around age five I somehow had a copy of Eddie Arnold's "Cattle Call" record at hand and would listen to it over and over.Every once in a whole I like to go back to it for it's weird cowboy atmospherics.
Anybody have any recommendations for Surf music? I'm learning a batch of Ventures and Shadows tunes and could use some more Surf inspiration on the old I pod.
I have to share this discovery, Japanese surf guitar from the Sixties featuring Inoue Munetaka on lead guitar. Hard to believe that this was recorded then already, really intense stuff!
I have been into Sean Costellos cd We Can Get Together. Great voice and killer guitar tones from that 53' LP! Duke Levine and Bill Kirchen are also on constant rotation now.

Webb Pierce is exceptionally cool. Hank Garland played on a lot of his recordings! I just picked up his Bear Family CD set. Highly recommended!
