40 Watt Fender Blackface Amp for home use?
Hi Jim,
I know that you are using Fender Vibrolux Reverb amps. Could you please tell me if they can be used for practice at home at low levels? Or do they sound too thin at lower levels? I do not necessarily need a distorted tone, but prefer a relatively clean country / jazz tone. Or would you rather recommend a Princeton Reverb for home use?
Thanks.

So I would say get something low wattage and even small speaker (I mean 12" can be too much). I now have just microcube (sounds quite good on the AC30 setting) and Kustom Contender (has one tube in it), both very small and light. I know the Vibrochamp sounded better! (So does the guy who bought it from me, here testing a "tele":
