Dear Jim....
I just wanted to thank you for your musicianship, your generosity....and your lessons! I finally bought one yesterday after years of just copping what I could off your records (and You Tube
I wasn't prepared to have such a comprehensive lesson! The charts, the audio....NICE! It's like we're hanging out
And so, thank you so much for the inspiration Jim. I'm a first grade elementary school teacher, and we start our morning in the classroom listening to you as we setup for the day, and then as we clean up to get ready to go home. My 1st graders love to move to your groove
On another note...I am sitting at the computer putting up videos on my FB page of music that inspires me, hoping to hip others to excellent music....when I thought, well...hell...why not see if Jim is hip to some folks I love?
So in the spirit of paying it forward in the world of music appreciation...I wanted to see if you've heard of, or seen the Wood Brothers yet? I came upon them about 6 years back. Chris and Oliver. They are a duo worth checking out, and they'll be in NY at the Bowery Ballroom in March. I missed them this year in Portland...first time I've missed the Brothers Wood. Grrrrrr. One of these days...I hope you get yourself out to my neck of the woods again (I'm a Bay Area brat too).
Thought you might appreciate some music, if you haven't stumbled across them yet.
Have a great evening Jim~

I haven't heard the Bros. Wood yet, but I think their name has come up before. I'll make sure I check their music out...
