so, i stumbled upon this great video ... imho mr Frisell's performance is jaw dropping... the juxtaposition of styles between these two great players might ignite an interesting discussion, i reckon...

    When I was a junior in high school someone showed me that video. I had been playing guitar for a few months and was playing blues. My idea of jazz guitar at the time was Montgomery and Kenny burrel.
    I thought it was crap.

    Now I've spent the past three years fawning over bill frisell trying to play like him!!!

    That 16 second delay he is using is awesome. I saw a mint one in NYC for.... 1300 dollars. There's a video online of nels cline showing how to use it
