hi i'm thinking about buying the lesson for "awful pretty, pretty awful" and am wondering if it also includes the transcription for the rhythm guitar parts (the one that goes "boom-chick" style)? thanks!
Hi Pat- The chords are clearly explained as well as the rhythmic approach, but it isn't "written" in a transcription. To me - a transcription would repeat the same thing over and over for pages and pages - and be a redundancy - therefore a hindrance to learning the alternate bass style.
This rhythm is fairly simple in theory - of course executing takes a bit of practice, but in my opinion it's clearly demonstrated. Don't beware, I've seen hundreds of folks get it.
Jim, thanks for replying. Are the chords positions written down though? the reason i'm asking this is i've just transcribed the whole tune by myself but i'm not 100% sure about notes and chords positions on the neck...So I was thinking about buying the lesson to check that out.
I think i got the rhythm chords mostly right but still i am not sure about where you play them on the neck. Like Bb could be either played with a 6th string root or 5th string root, same goes for the single note work, i'm not 100% sure if you play those arpeggios starting from a 5th string root or 4th string root etc. That's why i thought buying your lesson would help me check out all those little details i am unsure of.

Thanks for asking about lessons- Jim
I don't understand - you transcribed all the single note work yet you can't find or locate the rhythm chords?
