Lesson suggestions
Hi folks, I'm back to playing more after some time off to deal with injuries (take care of those arms - warm up & take breaks!).
I'm going to be doing some tracking soon with my indie pop / rock band and thought I might pick up a lesson or two for some inspiration.
I would like something with lots of new Travis / hybrid patterns (I've done Travis picking and beyond), just not sure which one though.
Also thought I might get Above Paradise for some new arpeggio ideas, and Tiramisu for some open string cascades and more.
Really I could and should probably revisit some of the lessons I've taken, but that's not as fun, right?
Thanks,
Tony
I've taken:
Travis & beyond
Playing the blues
PtB - nailing the changes
Country soul
Over the rainbow
Table for one
Country lead in G
Freddie Green
Understanding progressions
Up a lazy river
Panhandle rag
Step it up and go

If you want my advice…
That's Allright Mama or Workin' Man might be good since you mentioned your interest in advancing your Travis skills. Both these tunes are good, If I had to pick one I'd say ...
Workin' Man
Transcription of Roy Nichols lead and rhythm - from "Live at Muskogee" I highly recommend this one! Note For Note
All the best- Jim
