Dream Dictionary... now in January 2014?

Just curious... I've wondered, when an album is completed, what takes so long to get it out? Won't January be about 6 months since you guys completed it? Does mastering and getting it on itunes and getting CDs made take that long?

(I'm not griping, I've just always wondered what takes so long in between)

It does seem long doesn't it?
The short answer is distribution has specific windows and we decided to skip the Christmas rush...
