I've been searching for a new tele to make my number one. 1990s ASAT truss rod is broken and my K-Line tele just isn't what it used to be. Wish I knew what happened...SIGN ME UP PLEASE! (is this all it takes to enter?)
I'd kick myself if simply responding to this thread was all it took to enter and I passed it up.
Jim has been a real inspiration for me since I discovered him a few years back. It would be an incredible honour to end up with this guitar. Regardless here's hoping it goes to a good home.
Not sure how to sign up for this guitar? Other than posting in this thread. She sure is a beaut. I've been lusting for an orange/candy tangerine tele for years now. I honestly think it's the best looking guitar you could play. Gorgeous.
I can think of nothing better than sitting down with one of Jim's lessons, holding his signature tele. Please sign me up and thanks again for all your insights.
I was worried that the orange model '59 would just be kind of ugly, but seeing it's actually a nice metallic... ooh lala! Perfect for summer! Does anyone know if Fender CS skipped the sand and buff procedure to leave it with an "orange peel" texture? haha
Huh? . . wha . . ? Did I miss something??? I recollect reading that Fender CS was going to do a raffle at some point but is it up? Are there even pictures to be seen of the elusive orange Campy telecaster? Links?
If creative pleas earn extra raffle spots then Abweb and Ronkmd get them . . .! They made my day.
It's brilliant and beautiful. The custom shop does a great job once again. Please sign me up I will give it a good home and a spot underneath my Dutch flag when it gets a change to rest!
What a great guitar. It's pretty cool that this is being given away considering Jim was given his '59 Tele for free by John Jensen all those years ago. It's all coming full circle I guess. Thanks for doing this Jim & Fender!
