Cleaning vinyl records

Hey guys,

I was wondering how you guys care for your records. I am hoping to order a few items soon and I am looking into some different brands, etc. What has worked for you? One new item I'd like is an anti-static brush as mine is starting to leave bristles on the record.

    Some do's and don'ts regarding cleaning records would be nice too. I have been listening to records for a while now, but it's always hard to know what is good information in the internet.

    I use plain water and a lint free rag... like a t-shirt. Records are surprisingly tough and resilient so don't be afraid of them! Then I run the LP in my Vac-O-Rec record cleaner which cleans and removes static electricity, but no need to obsess on that part of it - Water and a rag does a great job and there are probably inexpensive static removing "dusters" readily available.
