Get anything cool for Christmas?
Just wondering what cool music gear folks might have received for Christmas this year. Or anything else cool, for that matter.
My girlfriend surprised me with a '98 Jimmie Vaughan strat that I had been watching on Craigslist for a while. I honestly couldn't name a Jimmie Vaughan song if I had to, but as strats go, I've always liked his signature model. It has all the basic things that I look for in a guitar. Nice neck shape, maple fingerboard, quality pickups and hardware. I'll always be a tele guy, but I already own a couple of those, and this strat is a lot of fun. And believe it or not, it seems twangier than my teles to my ear.
