Hi,

Joe Goldmark here. I have a website for record collectors called VinylBeat.com. There's galleries of all kinds of fun collecting niches. Here's a cool country guitar gallery: http://www.vinylbeat.com/album-88-CountryGuitarFavs.html

Thanks,
Joe

Thanks for the great post Joe. You've introduced me to so much great music, I'll always feel a debt of gratitude.

These LP's are amazing and I know it's just the tip of the iceberg. I urge everyone to experience the depth of Joe's incredible, well-informed LP collection website. This is an amazing site for LP/music fans http://www.vinylbeat.com/album-gallery.html

Hope to see you in August old friend!

  • This is awesome!
  • Man, what an absolute treasure trove!

Jimmy Bryant - Country Cabin Jazz?!?!?!? Oh man, it's such a shame that so many of these old LPs were never and will probably never be digitized. I know digital music can't hold a candle, but the reality is, not many have have record players anymore, and it sure would be nice (and much more practical) to have so many more people exposed to all this great music. But it would have to be digitized.

The import CD is $43 at Amazon. Whew. In the meantime, here's a cut:

  • Thanks, Jim and everyone, and cool pics with the Bryant video. Next to Roy Buchanan I think Jimmy was Jim C's next biggest influence.
  • This is nice, really loving it.

  • anything by this man!!
  • unfortunately, we lost him to his own hand. As the narrator could not have known at that time. R.I.P. Mr. Gatton

One of the best parts of living in the Bay Area and going to school in Berkeley is that every week or so I get to pick up a great record at Amoeba or Rasputin.image
