Tone Knob question

Hey Jim!

I was looking around and your Telecaster has stock tone pots, but your tone swells sound so much different then mine on my USA telecaster (2005).. Do you know what could be the different here?

    Check the cap value.

    It could also be a bad taper on the pot, it happens. But yes- the tone cap is the first thing to check.

    The difference is your amp/speaker is not nearly as loud as his (and not necessarily the identical rig), which makes for drastically different tones. Especially when u play with the tone knob
