  • "Johnny Winter And Live" Vinyl Treasures - Guitar Player Magazine - May 2018

  • The soundtrack of my youth (and Phil’s), cranked to distortion levels on a decidedly lo-fi “stereo” in my folks’ garage. Still one of my top five favorite live albums of all time.
  • Hi Brian - I'm glad. There has been a little outpouring of appreciation for this record that I honestly didn't expect. I'm happy we're not alone! I tweeted the article and tagged Rick Derringer- no response yet (totally fine - I understand how busy he must be) but I hope he reads it- we still feel a sense of gratitude for his dedicated artistry.
  • Guitar Player Magazine has a link to the Vinyl Treasures entire catalog online - thank you!

  • Jim, what a great resource! Sometimes the scanned articles were a bit difficult to read, so it’s nice to see them all collected and archived in one easy-to-read site. “Eclectic” barely begins to describe the range of styles represented here.
  • Thank for reading Brian - Yes, it's pretty diverse.... I think I could do better though! ha ha
  • These are great! Back when I was a poor teen, I used to read GP at the library. Johnny Smith had a column in the early days that featured basic chord melody arrangements- the one I remember playing was Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.

  • Way, way back in the crawlspace of my home there are boxes with well over ten years worth of Guitar Player magazine. Someday I'll pull them out and start going through them 'cause it will be like never having read them in the first place. Wonder how many times I'll come across the name Campilongo?
