  • Hi Jim!
I saw the Video with the Princeton`68 above and the problem with your weak Vibrato ("Is this on?" - lol). If you would like to boost your Vibrato look at this Video here - starts at 1:00.

  • Thanks for the tip. This man YouTube channel is worth subscribing to.
  • I just picked one up today and really like it. I tried it out in store a few times and sprung on it. Around 4-5 it gets a very satisfying just-breaking-up sound, and cranked it does have a "pigbark" (thanks Jim!) Sound, but a little volume knobbage brings it back to that sound at 4-5. It is still the honeymoon period and I haven't tried it with my band, but time will tell! When I try to play "Blues for Roy" it sounds very much like the record!!
  • yeah seems this amp is very loud but with great sound behind it. great for rockabilly, jazz, blues and of course surf. i would use this amp for all gigs even if miked.
  • I have real amp envy. I live in a condo in Tokyo, where they don't tolerate noise. If I move into a house, I will definitely be buying a Princeton Reverb! Until then my Yamaha THR10C and Strymon Flint will have to suffice. :-)
  • My favorite speaker is the Weber 10F150T. Very close to the original Jensen that came in some princetons and Vibroux reverbs. They break up in a nice smooth way and sound great clean. I've tried twelve inch speakers always go back to tens. I may give the celestion Jim recommends a try.
